HP has the most shelf space of any PC manufacturer at key retail locations such as Best Buy. This is a huge advantage and something that can’t be underestimated by HP’s competition. Several sites and technology magazines have been reviewing HP netbooks and also giving them ratings. Among them CNET and netviewreview.com requires mention. They not only review every aspect of these new launches netbooks by HP but they also ask the users to rate the product so that future users may decide whether to buy or not.

Here are a few HP’s netbook review excerpts:
- A lot of netbooks look and feel like toys, but HP’s Mini 1000 Netbook with design cues borrowed from its Pavilion notebooks, making it the best looking netbook to date. This Mini 1000 is an excellent choice for anyone who understands the limitations of a netbook, likes the idea of simplicity and favors style over having a couple of extra ports and plugs. The Mini 1000 is a consumer netbook, which means it’s geared towards casual users, not business users who generally need more durable devices.
- The HP Mini 311 is currently one of the best netbooks on the market, and has received a great review. But it looks like the HP 311 is only going to get better, with a number of optional upgrades becoming available soon. The 11.6-inch HP Mini 311 netbook is currently available with Windows XP operating system
- HP recently announced their 13.3-inch Pavilon DM3 laptop, but it appears that they have another new model on its way, with a smaller size.
- The HP Pavilion DM1 is an 11.6-inch thin and light model, much more on the size of typical netbooks. The HP DM1 is expected to feature an Intel CULV (consumer ultra low voltage) Celeron Dual-Core SU2300 processor, 2GB of DDR3 RAM (supports upto 5GB), Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics, a 320GB / 500GB hard drive, and have an 11.6 inch LED backlit LCD with a 1366 x 768 pixel resolution.
